The Air Max Plus (often called the TN or Tuned 1) immediately gained a cult following due to its aggressive, innovative design inspired by the vivid colors and waving palm trees of Florida, where McDowell took inspiration from the state’s sunsets and tropical scenery. This release faithfully revives the original and iconic ‘Hyper Blue’ colorway, featuring a dynamic gradient effect across the mesh upper that transitions from bright Hyper Blue to a lighter Sky Blue. The shoe maintains its defining structural features with wavy black TPU overlays that recall palm tree shadows, providing essential support and a signature aesthetic. Furthermore, the construction incorporates suede and leather detailing along the mudguard and heel for enhanced durability and a premium feel. At its core, the shoe is defined by the revolutionary Tunable Air technology, which features two separate, semi-spherical Air units in the heel and forefoot.
